Continued from Day 13 Austrian Tyrol
Contiki European Experience – Day 14 of 20 (part 1 of 4)
Ok, so I had to break Day 14 in four parts because there was way too many photos for a post. Exciting isn’t it? Also, you’ve probably noticed since last week I posted 2 post instead of everyday because I think everyday must’ve been too annoying. So I’ve dedicated Tuesdays and Fridays to post something.
Swarovski Crystal World (Museum) – 8.50 Euros
This optional tour was a must-go-to for me because I love Swarovski (even if it’s just glass I don’t care!). The museum is a hit and miss with tourist because the museum is very unusual and quirky. There’s a lot of abstracted artwork that didn’t really make sense and the whole experience is very surreal and mystical. It’s like going into “wonderland” with weird “creatures” just standing there all colourful and sparkly! Honestly, I liked it. It was different and out of the box.
Anyway, at the end of there’s a shop (like you didn’t know already). If there was a Swarovski product you can’t buy in your country anymore/or at all, you probably can find it here like I found mine!!
I found the prices here is already slightly cheaper elsewhere but don’t forget to ask them how you can claim your VAT back! They’ll give you a form so you can claim back from the airport (need to spend minimum amount to be eligible).
You can actually see their whole museum from their virtual tour online!
