Part of my Hakka Roots part 2 entry, I went to XiYan Tea Mountain in Dabu, China famous for it’s giant tea pot on the mountain and high quality tea.
At the time that I went in September 2012, they were renovating and developing new buildings. Very nice, old style buildings and a large courtyard. It’s very peaceful and pleasant there. There’s really not much to do besides sampling tea (you can buy also), relaxing and visiting the giant tea pot. It was just something to do while we were in the area.
It cost 30 RMB per person to enter and mind you they don’t speak English. Best to go with a tour guide.
